Addendum 2-A: Notable Character Traits

I Remember the Snow: Akane has been through some shit, and came out clean on the other side. She's lost her family, but gained a new one. She won't let those close to her die, at almost any cost. Additionally, in a conflict of pragmatism vs. mercy, she will favor mercy.
Blackest, Darkest Night: Hurt Akane, or her people, and she will hurt you back. If she can't do it right away, she will hold a grudge for a /very/ long time.
We're A Family of Professionals: Though she has little tolerance for the more childish antics of O-23, she bears them in begrudging silence. She's closer to the team then she'd ever be comfortable admitting.

Addendum 2-B: Notable Character Flaws

The Curse! The Curse!: Every since she insulted Ward's house, Akane keeps running into door frames. One day, she will kill them all. All of the door frames. Yes.
Tomo's Legacy: Akane is a Serpent's Hand sympathizer…until they start to step out of line.
Say That To My Face: Knocking her sunglasses off tends to be a bit of a berserk button for Akane.

Addendum 3-A: Personnel History

Akane learned harsh lessons early on. Inducted into the infamous Touma yakuza family early on, her slender frame came in handy porting illegal substances through Tokyo’s tight side streets, and over the rooftops. She quickly grew used to the feel of a blade in her hand; guns were largely useless in the cramped quarters where she was most at home. At the tender age of 21, Akane had been about to qualify for retirement from the street side of the family. Little did she know, however, that the last package she was delivering was both to an enigmatic foreigner named Carter, and an item of interest to The Foundation…

Forced into a Mexican Standoff between her, and two groups of enigmatic strangers with guns demanding her to hand over her last meal ticket, Akane did something not many would do - she refused both of them, attempting to take to the haven of the Tokyo alleyways and catwalks. She intended to take the package back to the Touma House and hide there until the heat went down.

Unfortunately, all that got her was a a lot of bullets in the back. She keeps forgetting people are better shots than her.

Rather than waste Akane’s talents as a D-Class, the Foundation took notice of her history and tentatively allowed her a position as a heavily monitored Agent. She took to the position like a fish to a pond – after all, her old job and her new one were not so different. Go here, get that, hurt bad guys. Don’t die. What could be easier?

Addendum 3-B: Miscellaneous

Akane has a very secret fondness for butterflies, often admiring them flying over the courtyard of the Touma family’s country retreat on her brief visits there. No one knows of the tiny case of pinned butterflies she keeps in her equipment safe – and she intends to keep it that way.
